DESCRIPTION:What makes a forest a good home for birds—and how does that relate to your role as a steward of our environment?\nJoin Stowe Land Trust and Audubon Vermont for an informative and engaging walk focused on forest bird habitat\, forest dynamics\, and the connections between conservation\, recreation\, and wildlife. Led by Steve Hagenbuch\, Senior Forest Program Manager with Audubon Vermont\, this free workshop will explore how bird-friendly forestry practices can support both ecological integrity and sustainable land use. \nWorkshop Highlights: \n\nLearn about the bird species that depend on Vermont’s forests\nExplore the key features of healthy bird habitat\nForest management techniques to enhance forest health and biodiversity\nOpportunities for observation\, discussion\, and Q&A along the trail\n\nWhether you’re actively managing a property or are curious about how to make your stewardship efforts more bird-friendly\, this event will offer practical insights and opportunities for shared learning. \nThe walk will take place on moderate trails—please come prepared with sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate layers. \nRSVP is required; please use the event sign-up form.
